The first ICOST summer school will be held at the Longueuil Campus of the University of Sherbrooke (Longueuil-Montreal) four days before the conference.

Montreal

Montreal was designated to receive ICOST 2011 through the extension of the University of Sherbrooke in the Longueuil Campus. Attendees will discover a city renowned for it's ability to organize major events with all it's convenient infrastructure. Montreal's downtown is about 20 minutes by car from the International Airport. Usefull information is presented in the following sections. How to travel in Montreal

Montreal Metro & Bus

You can take one of the four lanes of metro to travel all around the city. The lanes cover more than 69 km which are concentrated in the downtown. A good fare for adults is 14$ for 3 days. The passe is also valid for bus ride all around the city. You may find all important information here. As for bus, there is many ride to go everywhere in the city. You can fin you bus stop code here. You can see on the map below that University of Sherbrooke is accessible by the yellow lane from Berri-UQAM station which is in downtown of Montreal. There is many accommodation available near there.

Montreal BiXi

If you feel using green power to move around the city, try out the new and charming BiXi system. The system was established in 2009 and now has more than 5000 bike spread across the city.
